The JH/HS and the GS will be having a Hat Day for Emi on Tuesday this week. Students and staff can wear a hat for $1 (or whatever they want to donate). All money collected will be donated to Emi and her family to show our support to them during this time.
The high school volleyball team is thinking of Emi, one of our own, tonight during the game. We can't wait to have you back cheering us on.
The annual Veterans Day program will be presented by the 2nd grade classes on Monday, November 10, at 1:45pm, in the Grade School gym. We invite our families and all Veterans to attend.

Reminder....The JH will be going on their field trip tomorrow. Please be sure to arrive to school on time and bring a lunch. Students may bring money for food or souvenirs. There will be some food vendors set up but we do not know prices or what is available. The facility recommends all students bring a lunch. We also recommend students bring a bottle of water.
Galatia Jr/Sr High School wore red today to support Emi. The students, staff and community sure do miss you right now. We are sending our love for continued healing.

Here is an updated schedule for the New Simpson Hill JH Girls Round Robin. Our girls game originally scheduled for tonight has been postponed. The remainder of the week should still be as originally scheduled.
Galatia School District received the following update a few minutes ago from New Simpson Hill School District about a medical emergency tonight during a middle school girls basketball game.
Update on Medical Emergency at Tonight's Basketball Game
During this evening's girls junior high basketball game, a visiting student-athlete from Galatia Junior High experienced a medical emergency on the court at approximately 6:50 p.m.
An AED was immediately deployed by a New Simpson assistant coach who is also a registered nurse. The student was stabilized and airlifted to a hospital in St. Louis for treatment. We are awaiting further information on her condition.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the student, her family, and the entire Galatia Junior High community during this difficult time. We are grateful for the quick response of those who provided emergency care.
