Reminder....The JH will be going on their field trip tomorrow. Please be sure to arrive to school on time and bring a lunch. Students may bring money for food or souvenirs. There will be some food vendors set up but we do not know prices or what is available. The facility recommends all students bring a lunch. We also recommend students bring a bottle of water.

Galatia Jr/Sr High School wore red today to support Emi. The students, staff and community sure do miss you right now. We are sending our love for continued healing.

Attached is an updated schedule for the upcoming high school baseball hit-a-thon and alumni game. Reschedule date is 10/26 due to the potential of severe weather on 10/18.

Here is an updated schedule for the New Simpson Hill JH Girls Round Robin. Our girls game originally scheduled for tonight has been postponed. The remainder of the week should still be as originally scheduled.

Galatia School District received the following update a few minutes ago from New Simpson Hill School District about a medical emergency tonight during a middle school girls basketball game. Update on Medical Emergency at Tonight's Basketball Game During this evening's girls junior high basketball game, a visiting student-athlete from Galatia Junior High experienced a medical emergency on the court at approximately 6:50 p.m. An AED was immediately deployed by a New Simpson assistant coach who is also a registered nurse. The student was stabilized and airlifted to a hospital in St. Louis for treatment. We are awaiting further information on her condition. Our thoughts and prayers are with the student, her family, and the entire Galatia Junior High community during this difficult time. We are grateful for the quick response of those who provided emergency care.

All Junior High softball jerseys and wrist coaches need to be turned into the office ASAP! We still have several that haven't been returned. Thank you!

It's Game Day for our High School Cross Country and Jr. High Girls Basketball. Cross Country runs at McLeansboro High School today. Girls Basketball plays in the New Simpson Hill Round Robin against Meridian @ 6:30pm. Go Bearcats!! 🏃‍♂️‍➡️🏀
