Congratulations to Aiden Ferrel and Karson Baird on earning their FFA State Degree. This is the highest award given by Illinois FFA earned through their SAE. They will be recognized on stage at the state FFA convention. Also, congratulations to Aiden on earning top chairman at the section parliamentary procedure contest!

Congratulations to our high school scholar bowl team. They took home first place in the GEC Conference Tournament going undefeated for the day! This is just a continuation of the fantastic season they are having, with their record currently standing at 21-3 on the season! Great job Bearcats!

Please make sure to register your child for the PTO fundraiser. This is super simple to do. All students received a packet last week. It has the directions on how to register your child. You have to share it with 10 people. Then you can share the link to Facebook. Also, everything is done on the link. They pay for the items and they are shipped to their house. No work for you besides sharing the link. I will say they have a lot of different items than Paragon. Please go check it out and help us to raise our goal of $3000. We will use our profits for family nights, fun day, and field trips for students. We want to put the money back towards the kids and their families.

The Drama Club is selling T-shirts for the Winnie the Pooh play. If anyone would like to purchase one, Adult sizes are $15 and Youth Sizes are $10. Please contact Jenna Gunning at the Grade School. jgunning@galatiak12.org. Also Tickets will go on sale March 9th at the Grade School. If you won the golden tickets please make sure to cash those in for your tickets to the play. Also DVDs will be available for purchase. They will be $12 each. You can make donations to the play by contacting a member of the play. You will be in a drawing to win 4 front row seats to the play, 4 free T-shirts, and a $100 gift card. Thank you to everyone for all of your support. It is truly appreciated.

Congratulations to Galatia FFA on their recent successes. In Section Public Speaking, Connor placed 1st in Varsity extemporaneous, Justin placed 1st in JV extemporaneous, Aiden placed 2nd in prepared, and Garrett placed 2nd in creed. They placed 1st together as a team. In the Section Parliamentary Procedure contest, our Varsity team placed 2nd and Connor was top floor member in the contest (Not pictured: Haleigh & Josie). Our JV team also placed 2nd. Great job teams!
