October 19 was a cool, windy, tough day on the River for Galatia Basscats @ the IBN tournament. Kam Tullis and Parker Betts fished on the Jr High team. They brought home big bass with a weight of 2.82# and total weight of 7.89# which earned them 1st place!
High school team of Brian and Mace total weight of 9.30, Cayden brought one fish to the scales with a weight of 1.85, and Hollyn and Karson weighed in 5.94#

It's Game Day for the Jr. High Boys Basketball! They will be playing at Carrier Mills tonight. The c game will start @ 5:15pm, JV @ 6pm, with Varsity to follow. Go Bearcats!! 🏀❤️🐾

It's Game Day for High School Volleyball and Jr.High Boys Basketball! It is Senior Night for Volleyball. They are playing Carrier Mills starting @ 6pm. The Jr. High Boys are playing at the Grade School against OLMC starting @ 6pm. Congrats Seniors and Go Bearcats!! ❤️🏐🏀🖤


The JH/HS and the GS will be having a Hat Day for Emi on Tuesday this week. Students and staff can wear a hat for $1 (or whatever they want to donate). All money collected will be donated to Emi and her family to show our support to them during this time.
The high school volleyball team is thinking of Emi, one of our own, tonight during the game. We can't wait to have you back cheering us on.

The annual Veterans Day program will be presented by the 2nd grade classes on Monday, November 10, at 1:45pm, in the Grade School gym. We invite our families and all Veterans to attend.

Galatia Cross Country team ran today in the GEC conference meet in Pope Co.. A great race on a tough course. Congratulations on your All Conference title to Haleigh Oslay for placing 4th, Ryne Foster for placing 8th & Easton Fowler on placing 9th!! So proud of all our Bearcats!! Catch us next Saturday in our Regional meet in Murphysboro. 🏃♀️ 🏃♂️ 🐾




Our 8th Grade class is selling RADA Cutlery! Proceeds will help fund the 8th grade trip and send them to high school with a great start-up account. Please support the class of 2030!

Reminder....The JH will be going on their field trip tomorrow. Please be sure to arrive to school on time and bring a lunch. Students may bring money for food or souvenirs. There will be some food vendors set up but we do not know prices or what is available. The facility recommends all students bring a lunch. We also recommend students bring a bottle of water.
Galatia Jr/Sr High School wore red today to support Emi. The students, staff and community sure do miss you right now. We are sending our love for continued healing.
