Galatia JH Lady Bearcats are Regional Champs and State bound! Please line the streets for the parade through town around 6:15pm this evening.
The Basscats competed in the Illinois Bass Nation tournament at Lake of Egypt this weekend. In the junior division, Parker Betts and Kam Tullis finished 6th with a weight of 4.15 pounds. In the high school division, Brian Gibbs and Mace Ridgeway finished 2nd with 14.6 pounds, Hollyn McCabe and Karson Baird finished 8th with 9.99 pounds, and the team of Kael Krelo and Cayden Baird finished 22nd with 7.08 pounds. Congratulations, Basscats!

JH Regional Update: Galatia baseball will play Thompsonville today. Game is at Oasis Sports Complex at 2:00. If they win, they play for the regional championship tomorrow at 4:30 at Jay Thompson Field in Harrisburg.
Galatia softball will play their semi-final round game tomorrow instead of today. If they win, championship game will be played Monday.
Learning volleyball is more than just a game, it’s about building teamwork, communication, confidence, and lifelong fitness skills. These students have put in the effort, embraced challenges, and achieved great success by winning the volleyball tournament in Mr. Clift’s PE class. Their hard work on the court reflects not only their growth as athletes but also their growth as individuals.
