Today our FFA members celebrated National Agriculture Day by driving their tractors to school and dressing up as farmers!
The SEL topic for February was "Responsibility," and these students truly demonstrated what it means to be responsible both inside and outside the classroom. Congratulations to the following students on receiving this award:

High school baseball and softball seasons start tonight with a game at Z-R. Attached are schedules for both teams.
We have been a little delayed due to weather and other events but this week we celebrate FFA Week!
Play practice schedule for Matilda Jr has been changed. We will not have practice on Thursday or Friday, March 20th and 21st. We will however be practicing from 3:00 -5:00 from now on since we had to cancel so many practices due to school closures. Can't wait for you all to see our kids perform.

Galatia FFA won the Withers Broadcasting February FFA Chapter of the month promotion for Southern Illinois. We would like to thank Withers Broadcasting and all of the sponsors for the really cool prizes! We would also like to thank those who nominated and voted for us!

The 5th grade students collaborated with Teal's Vet Clinic and gathered "Blankets for Buddies" to comfort animals post-op. We love making connections in our community and helping when we can! 🐾

Galatia Khoury League information-
Parent/Teacher Conferences are next week. Thursday, March 20 we will have 2:00 dismissal and conferences will be from 3:00-6:00. On Friday, March 21 there will be no student attendance and conferences will be from 8:00-11:00. If you have any questions, please contact your child's school office.
Galatia FFA members built another amazing project for the Saline Co. Stockmen's Association. This Chevy truck bed table will sell at the Stockmen's banquet Saturday night. The Stockmens support our local FFA and 4-H activities and support some of our graduating Seniors through scholarships.
T-shirts for the HS/Jr High Drama Club's performance of Matilda Jr. are on sale now. Order forms may be picked up at the office and are due by March 14th.
Reminder. The Galatia HS/Jr High Drama Club will be performing Roald Dahl's, Matilda Jr this month. Shows are Friday, March 28th and Saturday, March 29th at 6:00 pm in the High School Gym. There are still some reserved seats left and can be purchased at the office. Tickets for a reserved seat in the first 4 rows are $10 each. General admissions tickets are $5 each.
Parents of 8th graders, Jostens will be here Monday morning at 9:00 to measure your child for their graduation caps and gowns. They are $34.50 each. You do not have to pay Monday, but we will need payment by the end of April. Students may bring payment to me, Mrs. Girten. Checks payable to Galatia High School.
